SNOWMOBILING FINLAND

Reindeer nearly outnumber people in Finland's Lapland and pulling guests on sleighs, safari-style is a tourist tradition.  Some of the Lapps still dress in native custom, but most prefer cross country ski apparel.  The skiers seem to like our sporty snowmobiles.
Before you call your travel agent, figure on bringing your own snowmobiles. Europe, in general, does not have much recreational snowmobiling as we know it in North America, but in the last few years, there has been an increasing recognition as snowmobiling as a sport.
