Polaris Industries introduced two new Polaris Star twin sleds in 1986.
The twins featured a 340cc fan cooled engine with CDI ignition, oil injection, 5.4 gallon fuel tank, Polaris long travel rear suspension and leaf spring shock absorber front suspension. They are102 inches long with a 15 inch track.
The Star Twin weighed 340 pounds and The ES version 370 pounds. The Star Twin ES offered factory installed electric start and came with speedometer and tach. Both sleds were dressed in bright red with gold accents.
