SKI-DOO SWEEPSTAKES OFFERS CADILLAC

December 1976 - Bombardier Corporation,Duluth, Minnesota announced a Ski-Doo "Go First Class" sweepstakes in which the Grand Prize included a 1977 Cadillac Coupe De Ville and a 1977 Ski-Doo Everest 440 snowmobile.  First prize in the sweepstakes was a 1977 International Harvester Scout and a 1977 Ski-Doo T'NT 440 snowmobile.
The sweepstakes ran from December 15, 1976 thru January 31, 1977 at the Ski-Doo dealership network.

1971 RUPP MAGNUM RETAIL PRICES

The retail prices of the 1971 Rupp Magnum Performance sleds were as follows: Magnum400 - $1,295.00
Magnum440S-$1,360.00
Magnum600 - $1,995.00
Magnum800 - $2,195.00
The 440 was available in  a Sprint (15" track) or Wide Track (18" track) model.  The wide track model was $100.00 more than the sprint.  The Magnum 600 and 800 were standard as Wide Track (18")

1988 YAMAHA SNOSCOOT

The 1988 Snoscoot by Yamaha has a 80cc engine, weighs 225 pounds and can turn on a dime.
It's not made to be a trail or touring sled.  It is a single rider 30 MPH machine but the things you can do on it at 30MPH are only limited to your imagination.  It can handle kids as well as adults.

FIRST GRASS RACE TITLE

Mt. Horeb, Wisconsin - The first North American Snowmobile Grass Drag Invitational Championship was held November 1st and 2nd, 1975 in Dodgeville, Wisconsin.  The event was sanctioned   by The Southern Wisconsin Racing Association and was open to all drivers.
Twenty classes were run both days, including super stock, super modified, open, junior, women and trail stock.

1982 CHRYSLER SNO-RUNNER

The Chrysler Sno-Runner by Chrysler marine was the only snow bike available for a different winter experience.  It only weighs about 90 pounds and is powered by a 134cc Chrysler Outboard built motor that delivers 7 horsepower at 7,000RPM.  The Sno-Runner has 3 skis.  The front ski is 4 inches wide and 33 inches long, the center ski under the seat area flexes with the terrain like a spring and the third ski contains the track which has 27 inches of surface on the snow.

1972 RUPP ROGUE

A light snowmobile from Rupp that could fit into the back of a station wagon and run with the big boys out in the trails.
It came standard with a 15 horsepower single cylinder JLO or an optional Rupp 25 horsepower twin cylinder engine and many of the other Rupp features as standard equipment with an economy price tag.

ARCTIC CAT ASSEMBLES SNO-JET FOR 1976

Press Release - October 1976 - Burlington, VT. - Final assembly of the 1976 model Sno-Jet snowmobiles has began at Thief River Falls, Minnesota plant of Arctic Enterprises, Inc., and all Sno-Jet production is expected to be completed by the end of November.  The assembly of The Sno-Jets at Arctic's plant is part of an agreement between the two manufacturers whereby Arctic will assemble the machines from components and sub- assemblies manufactured and assembled by Sno-Jet at its Thetford Mines, Quebec manufacturing facility.

SNOWMOBILE SPARK PLUG TIPS

 Spark plugs can be the best indicator that your engine may be developing problems.
 LIGHT BROWN is the correct color around the tip of the plug if your engine is operating in the temperature range it was designed for.
LIGHT IS BAD: If the plug tip is light gray or ash white, your engine is running too hot, light gray indicates the problem has started.  Ash white means the problem is critical and you can burn down or seize your engine. The causes insufficient lubrication, mixture too lean, advanced ignition timing, or wrong spark plug selection.
BLACK TIP PLUGS: Sparkplugs with black tips means the engine is running too cold, and carbon deposits are building up.  The most common causes are too much lubrication, fuel air mixture too rich, wrong plug selection, or a weak or faulty ignition system.

1984 MOTO-SKI SONIC LC
