1976 FUTURA
The 1976 Futura by Moto-Ski featured a Bombardier-Rotax 440cc fan cooled engine and had torque reaction slide suspension with a . one-piece, molded rubber track with an exclusive Moto-Ski V-Shaped profile. Standard features included, self adjusting disc brakes, speedometer and tachometer, and double walled tuned muffler.

1975 JOHNSON JX SNOWMOBILE
For the 1975 Johnson model year, they advertized that they had an amazing devise that delivered up to 58% better gas mileage than the 1974 models. - It had a new Johnson-engineered accelerator pump carburetor that "leans down the fuel mixture to make your JX run smoother, gutzier and more economical than ever before. They also offered both a bogie and slide suspension for their 1975 JX models.

1976 ALOUETTE
In 1976 Alouette was back after a year's absence and was then in A Rupp mold, after the purchase by Rupp Industries
Alouette was marketed mostly in Canada although some were available in The United States.
The models were retained as Sno-Duster, Sno-Brute, Brute and Super Brute. The engines, track,suspension and other features were virtually the same as The Rupp machines.

1977 RUPP NITRO
Rupp was in business for the 1977 snowmobile business and was riding on the 440 Nitro liquid cooled for the comeback. Rupp was banking on appealing to the segment of the market that drooled over the big powerfull performers and the new Nitro offered much to capture their fancy. In the power department, the Nitro got the job done, not only on the straightaways (where it was best in the eight mile top end by only The Polaris TX-L) but also on the hill, which it climbed without braking a sweat.

A REAL VINTAGE SNOWMOBILE
This automotive type sled was developed by Ernest Splittstoser of Pine City, Minnesota between 1907 and 1915. He mounted a Ford body on a wooden farm sled normally pulled by horses. At the rear he had a chain-drive paddlewheel to propel the vehicle.

MICHIGAN NO.1 IN SNOWMOBILES
January 1975 - Michigan leads The United States in number of registered snowmobiles with 392,000 registrations in 1975 compared to second place Minnesota with 276,000 registrations for the same period, according to The Automobile Club of Michigan.

NORTHWAY SNOWMOBILES LIQUIDATED
Northway Snowmobiles, LTD., manufacturer of Northway snowmobiles was foreclosed on December 15, 1973 by The Royal Bank of Canada. Bankruptcy was not declared, as the company had a personal guarantee on the note. Parts were available from 6 different distributors in The United States and Canada along with many components that were interchangeable with Bombardier products.

The Elan 250T featured a 247.3cc Rotax twin cylinder engine. It has a 15 inch track with bogie suspension.

RUPP GO-JOE
The White Go-Joe by Rupp Industries was a different kind of ATV and was one of the last fun machines other than the snowmobile, designed by Rupp Industries, under Mick Rupp's ownership. It was powered by a 18 HP single cylinder fan cooled Kohler engine and it had components of a snowmobile torque converter drive system.

1980 YAMAHA'S NEW SUSPENSION SYSTEM
The 1980 Yamaha SRV utilized a totally new and unique suspension system called The Yamaha Telescopic Strut Suspension.
T.S.S. represented new standards in handling characteristics, rider comfort and simplicity of construction which gave the snowmobile a ride that almost eliminated the transmission of shocks to the drivers seat and shoulders.

The 1982 Manta trail machine is a refined version of The Manta race machine - All new fiberglass bodywork gave the rear engine sled a low slung, futuristic appearance. 1972 RACE PROMOTIONAL KIT BY CASTROL OILS
Kansas City, MO - Castrol Oils, Inc announced the availability of a new snowmobile race promotion kit for1972 snowmobile races. Designed to provide snowmobile racing promotion racing materials for many local snowmobile races being held across the snowbelt. The kit included one start and one finish banner, five "Welcome Race Fans" signs, ten "Snowmobile Races" signs with six directional arrows, three "official" are bands and forty Castrol decals.

1982 SNOWMOBILE WINTER TOURISM
1982 winter tourism officials throughout the North American snowbelt have finally discovered snowmobiling. They are welcoming snowmobilers with open arms. The reason? FLEXING MUSCLES AT WEST YELLOWSTONE
The World Championship Snowmobile Power Pull was held during West Yellowstone, Montana's three-day winter carnival February 28 through March 2, 1986.
The power pull drew more than 100 competitors that tested their machines.
The contest which was run in classes, which allowed each competitor to pull a progressively weighted sled down a straight track.
The winners of the 1985 power pull returned to defend their titles.
