RUPP GO-JOE

The White Go-Joe by Rupp Industries was a different kind of ATV and was one of the last fun machines other than the snowmobile, designed by Rupp Industries, under Mick Rupp's ownership. It was powered by a 18 HP single cylinder fan cooled Kohler engine and it had components of a snowmobile torque converter drive system.

The 1980 Moto-Ski Sprint 250 by Bombardier was one of the truly light weight snowmobiles, weighing only 281 pounds.
It featured a 250cc single cylinder fan cooled engine.

1980 YAMAHA'S NEW SUSPENSION SYSTEM

The 1980 Yamaha SRV utilized a totally new and unique suspension system called The Yamaha Telescopic Strut Suspension.
T.S.S. represented new standards in handling characteristics, rider comfort and simplicity of construction which gave the snowmobile a ride that almost eliminated the transmission of shocks to the drivers seat and shoulders.

1982 MANTA

The 1982 Manta trail machine is a refined version of The Manta race machine - All new fiberglass bodywork gave the rear engine sled a low slung, futuristic appearance. A liquid cooled Kohler, (intended power plant at press time) was to power the Trail Manta. Limited quantities were offered by Three R Industries.  Price $4,295.00

1972 RACE PROMOTIONAL KIT BY CASTROL OILS

Kansas City, MO - Castrol Oils, Inc announced the availability of a new snowmobile race promotion kit for1972 snowmobile races.  Designed to provide snowmobile racing promotion racing materials for many local snowmobile races being held across the snowbelt.  The kit included one start and one finish banner, five "Welcome Race Fans" signs, ten "Snowmobile Races" signs with six directional arrows, three "official" are bands and forty Castrol decals.
Cost of the kit was $14.50.

1982 SNOWMOBILE WINTER TOURISM

1982 winter tourism officials throughout the North American snowbelt have finally discovered snowmobiling. They are welcoming snowmobilers with open arms. The reason? They realized that snowmobile tourism can turn an area that is usually financially dormant during the winter into a thriving resort community.
The love affair is mutual.  Snowmobile adherents have recognized that for the sport to flourish, interesting and varied snowmobile experience must be available.

FLEXING MUSCLES AT WEST YELLOWSTONE

The World Championship Snowmobile Power Pull was held during West Yellowstone, Montana's three-day winter carnival February 28 through March 2, 1986.
The power pull drew more than 100 competitors that tested their machines.
The contest which was run in classes, which allowed each competitor to pull a progressively weighted sled down a straight track.
The winners of the 1985 power pull returned to defend their titles.
